Finding Answers for Yourself

This post is centered around one of my favorite Mormon Messages "Origin" which teaches us to go to our Father in Heaven when we have questions because he is the source of all truth. We do this by "Ask(ing) God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." (Moroni 10:4)
I love this quote from Elder Holland "Above all never lose faith in your Father in Heaven, who loves you more than you can comprehend" I think that there are many things that hold us back from praying. But what it really comes down to is the adversary is telling you that you can't. Whether it be because you feel "unworthy" or you feel like he does not care, or maybe even is not so strong in that area right now. I want you all to know that you should never feel this way. Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of you! He wants to hear from you and answer those questions that you do have! So just do it! Ask those questions and listen for the answer.

Importance of Acting

"Faith is like a little seed:
If planted, it will grow.
Faith is a swelling within my heart.
When I do right, I know."
 -"FAITH" Children's Songbook
The reason I brought up this song is because it has significant importance of symbolizing how our faith grows. Today I would like to talk about my interpretation of what "PLANTED" means in this song. To me it means to act, or apply. And as we act on our faith, our faith grows and we have a better understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So here is an examples: I have faith that Heavenly Father hears my prayer (this is the "little seed") so I pray to him for guidance (so this would be "planting the seed). Then I receive an answer to my prayer (faith growing). By praying you are ACTING on your faith, this is key to having your faith grow!
Now lets go a little a deeper... What does this specifically mean for YOU? I invite everyone who reads this post to find a way to act on your faith this week. I want to promise every single one of you that as you act on your faith you WILL better understand Gods love for you, grow closer to Christ, and become that person that both Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ knows you can BECOME.
